That's the Way it Goes

(or: I got Bored During the Second Stanza...)

She went through life
With her head held high
Despising her fellow beings
'Cause she wasn't one of them

She went through life
Without ever getting involved
No-one felt right, they were all too common
For someone as special as her

She went through life
Uncaring, contemptous and aloof
Pity and compassion were for the weak
And they were not of her kind

She ended life all alone
What'd ever been special about her
Was her idea of being someone special
-And she was reincarnated as a sentient iceberg on Mars...
