Chimera

I waited for you
Patiently, outside your door
I had all the time
In the world

You knew I was there
I know you knew
But you came out
With another girl

All you said were "Goodbye"
And you turned your back
To walk away from me
Not so fast, my dear!!

You're stopped dead
By the quivering dagger
Imbedded in the wall
An inch from your face

You don't get away
From me this easily!
I've been waiting
For far too long

I grab you and
Drag you back inside
You don't protest
Too much, I think

I kiss you passionately
But you turn into
Someone else and your
Lips are desert dry
