The Voice Manuscript

Creegan steals a Voice disc

Creegan have broken into a Voice lab, and managed to steal a disc containing something called "The Voice Manuscript". This is information about all of Voice's teams and supporters (or so he believes - it is actually part of a trap Voice has set up for him).

Voice alerts Hel, Sarge, Cleo and Mauser, and orders Hel and her team to get the disc back. The disc has a localisator, so they can trace it's signal.
What they don't know is that Creegan has redirected the localisation signal on the disc to an abandoned level, where he has prepared a "surprise" for the Voice team.

Creegan is in his hideout, checking the progress of his scientists on the making of a transplane device. He discovers that he can't decode the disc, nor can his betrayers. He makes a copy of the disc, contacts the Baileys, and prepares to travel to the surface to get the disc decoded.

Enter Ivy

Meanwhile a young and very confused woman called Ivy (who has amnesia) stumbles across one of Creegan's back-up teams, who captures her. The mutants discuss selling her as a slave. Ivy manages to kill the mutants.
Creegan watches the action on a holo screen in his hideout, and is shocked when he discovers that Ivy looks like someone he once knew.

Hel, Sarge and Cleo has reached the abandoned level, and hears fighting in the distance (it's the mutants firing at Ivy). As they move towards the sounds of fighting, they're ambushed by a small group of Creegan's betrayers.

Ivy hears fighting in the distance, goes to investigate, and ends up being involved in the battle, on the side of Hel, Sarge and Cleo.

Hel and Sarge are very suspicious of the newcomer Ivy - Cleo is a bit more friendly. Before they have a chance to find out anything about Ivy, they're attacked by Creegan's army of mutants and betrayers. One of the mutants triggers a device that creates a powerful force field which traps the women and half the army.
Ivy, seeing that they are outnumbered, makes a deal with Creegan (who's only heard, not seen), and they have a cease fire. After gloating a bit, Creegan starts on his journey to the surface.

Enter Anyah and Ariana

Two sisters from a Dwork village, Anyah and Ariana, enters the Underground.

Anyah finds her way to the abandoned level and discovers the women trapped behind the force field. She uses some kind of psi powers and disrupts the force field. Unfortunately she ends up being trapped with the other females, as they are hopelessly outnumbered.

On the way to the surface Creegan is "ambushed" by a girl called Mouse. Mouse is a Dwork, who has accidentally fallen into the Underground and is looking for the way out. She follows Creegan, who she thinks is a demon, and eventually he helps her out.

Frolick, Creegan's "next in command", decides that they should get rid of the newcomer (i.e. Anyah). Ivy manages to confuse them. They start arguing, and the women tries to sneak away, but are discovered - the betrayers where not confused, and starts firing at Anyah and Ivy as they run across the room. Ivy uses her telempathic powers to influence Frolick, who orders the betrayers to stop firing.

The women manage to get away from the army, and jumps into the nearest shaft. Hel leads them to a safe place that Voice has given her the co-ordinates to. They discover it is an old, dusty lab.
They believe they are safe here, but the betrayers have managed to trace them.
Sarge runs a medical scan on Ivy, and it is revealed that Ivy is not human. Before they can make anything more of that, part of the wall explodes, and the mutants rush into the room, firing.
Creegan is back in the Underground, and has decided to personally take charge of his army.
Creegan says he wants to negotiate with Hel, but he wants her to surrender - if she doesn't he'll kill Anyah. Hel refuses to surrender.
Angered by Creegan's orders, Ivy tries to bluff and threaten him. Something/someone takes control over Ivy, and makes her whisper a name, which freaks Creegan out and makes him run out of the room. Creegan wonders if Ivy is actually Eve, someone he once knew, but thought were long dead.
Sarge has discovered another exit, and leads the team out of the old lab.

The women head back to the Voice lab, with Creegan close on their heels.

Meanwhile, Ariana is looking for her sister, and stumbles onto the Voice lab, where she meets Mauser. Mauser brings her inside the lab and runs a scan on her to check if she's a betrayer, which she's not. Ariana meets Mr. Pants!

Hel's group has finally escaped from Creegan and gone back to the Voice lab, bringing Ivy and Anyah with them.
Ariana sees a strange woman (Sarge) suddenly swing through the wall in the lab, and faints.
Anyah and Ariana are reunited.
Ivy mentions to Sarge that the sisters can't be allowed to leave, since Anyah has displayed powerful psi abilities, and the betrayers know about her. She fears the consequences for both the girl, and the people of the Underground.
Unfortunately, Arianah overhears this, and the sisters become terribly upset at the realisation of not being allowed to go back home.
Cleo tries to comfort the sisters and takes them to see Mr. Pants.

Later, by Voiced orders, Cleo injects Ivy, Anyah and Ariana with localisator chips, in their arms.

Pandora the cat burglar

Creegan have used the information on the "Voice Manuscript" disc to select his first target: Xavier Hall, owner of the club "Echo" on the upper levels, and one of Voice's financial backers.
Creegan and his army takes over the club and captures Hall.
While Creegan is toying with Hall in Hall's office, his mutants discover something in the vent, something which electrocutes them.
Out jumps Pandora, a feline humanoid and thief who can kill people with a touch. She's after some discs in Hall's office. She kills Hall, then finds the disc Hall had hidden, which she offers to sell to Creegan. He agrees.
Pandora offers to work for Creegan, for a price of course. Creegan wants Pandora to kidnap Anyah from Hel's team's Voice lab.
They leave for one of Creegan's secret lairs.
It doesn't take Creegan very long to begin regretting hiring Pandora and bringing her with him to his lair - two egomaniacs don't go well together, and Pandora loves to annoy people.

Welcome to the 26th century, Oliver!

Somewhere else in the Underground, a young man, Oliver Thornton, wakes up from cryo sleep.
Oliver is found by a woman called Ember, and her to brawny warrior friends "Claw" and "Fang". Ember takes Oliver to a club and starts to question him about pre-Bailey times.
At the club Ember is attacked and shot with a poisoned dart. Oliver tries to help by sucking the poison out, and poisons himself (or so claw thinks at the time). Claw and Fang take them to a secret lab in the lower levels, where they are treated.
It turns out that the poison is an engineered virus, specially designed to harm Ember. It mutates her almost beyond recognition, destroying the perfect looks she's spent so much money and time acquiring, and unless restrained, will eventually kill her. Until the scientists can find a way to deactivate the virus, Ember is stuck in a healing tube
Oliver tries to comfort Ember, but isn't very successful.
