I live in Oslo, Norway, with my cat Max.
I moved here in 1986, to study library and information science.
I have worked as a librarian and an archivist.

I have a lifelong love of fantasy, horror and science fiction, in books, comics, computer games, movies and tv-series.

I discovered alternative music in 1982. My favourite artist was Toyah, and my favourite band Adam and the Ants.
In 1987, I met my friend Alf, who was into alternative and goth music. We spent a lot of time listening to his records.
My favourites became Cocteau Twins, The Cure, Dead Can Dance, Fields of the Nephilim, Siouxie and the Banshees and The Sisters of Mercy.
In 1992, I discovered the newsgroup alt.gothic on Usenet, and made friends both in Norway and abroad.
My net.goth handle was Darkamber.
I visited London autumn 1992, and met up with my English friend Sexbat. He took me to my first goth club, Slimelight.
In 1995, we got our first goth club in Oslo, Gotham Nights. I soon became involved with helping run the club.

I joined Ares, the students' gaming club, in 1986, and discovered tabletop roleplaying games.
I've been gaming ever since. I still game with four of the guys I met at Ares.

I joined Oslo Writers League autumn 2023. It's an organisation for writers at all levels.

I've been writing poems and stories since my early teens.
I created my own fantasy world, inspired by "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien.

I wrote my first poem in English in 1982. I've been writing poetry in English for over 40 years.
I'm currently working on a poetry collection titled "My House".

I'm also working on a fantasy novel titled "The Red Tower".
